ABOUT US

"Cou-Cou is led by two very brilliant ladies who care so much about the development of all their pupils. I would definitely recommend Cou-Cou to any parent whose child is interested in performing arts or who might need to use activities to boost their personal confidence, Definitely 5 stars!"

- Mykey J Young - Director, Senior Creative Producer & Arts Educator

"Nikita and Sophie have an incredible love and knowledge of the performing arts. They are patient and dedicated, but I have always been struck by the very special gift they have to recognise, develop and nurture the often hidden potential in their students. Their classes are inclusive and everyone is made to feel special. True teachers."

- Marina Blore - Director, Executive Producer and Choreographer

"There’s something very special about the shows produced by Sophie and Nikita Coulon. Their actors, be they young people or adults, all perform for the love of it and no one receives a fee for their efforts; but this does not affect the stringently high standards to which everyone aspires. The Coulons bring added value - integrity in their choice of works to perform and theatre direction that nurtures thought provoking performances from actors who are encouraged to immerse themselves empathetically in their roles."

- Linda Hampton - Actor and Writer

Confidence

Our main ethos is building confidence in individuals, not only in their performance but in their everyday life. We see our students, both children and adults, grow in confidence during their lessons each week. There is no greater gift than enhancing the creativity, imagination and confidence in others.

"If we want our children to move mountains, we first have to let them get out of their chairs." - Nicolette Sowder

Friendship

Seeing the friendships being built and bonds being formed between our members is a wonderful thing. We have created a safe environment for people to be themselves without judgement. That is our proudest achievement.

"A friend is one of the best things you can be and one of the greatest things you can have." - Sarah Valdez

Performance

Our founders are experienced performers who are sharing their knowledge and passion with their students. The standard of shows that Cou-Cou Theatre Productions put on is going from strength to strength but one thing that has always been present is the professionalism of the casts. They learn what it takes to put on a show from start to finish and are often involved in other aspects of the production, backstage as well as on the stage. The skills they learn with us are not only performance based; there's time management, teamwork and working under pressure.

"Great performance is never luck. It takes a lot of focus, heart and hard work." - Unknown
